Thing's are never what they appear to be...

Wow,

I can't believe how long it has been since my last posting. Much has happened here at the ranch and in our lives over the last several months. God has been so gracious to me in teaching and encouraging me through some pretty difficult times. Without going into too much detail, I have been struggling financially to meed the needs of my family and the needs of the ministry. As a result, I have returned to my former Creative Design business to generate some income to alleviate some of the financial pressures.

At first I was disappointed that the Lord had not provided more financially to keep things going, but He has been faithful to show me that my true circumstances cannot be revealed in what I see through my apparent circumstance, but rather in what I know to be true in Him. This has stretched me beyond my old levels of comfort and brought me into a much deeper dependence in Him.

It is truly exciting every day wo wake up knowing that He is with me always. Our circumstances, have helped reveal the truth about me and about God through the trials. I still don't know what tomorrow will bring or what tomorrow will remove, but I do know how much God loves me and that HE IS ALWAYS WORKING THINGS FOR MY GOOD. No matter what the external appearance may be.

The truth is, that through my time with him, I am truly learning to live in Him and not in this world. I look forward to every day now with a deeper appreciation and greater joy knowing that my life is not what I think it to be, but rather what I know He has created it to be. Living each moment as a gift knowing that the destination is secure.

I hope that each of you in the midst of your circumstances can rest in His promises not in what appears to be. Just as the disciples allowed the wind and waves to cause them to doubt that they were safe with Jesus, we can allow the world and what happens in our day cause us to doubt, we can find the truth if we trust in Him, not our circumstance to be our security.

I am probably rambling a bit here, but what it all comes down to is this–do we believe His promises or what appears to be true in our lives. We can never define God by the things of this world, on the contrary, the things of this world are always defined by Him.

Find peace in Him,

Have an awesome day,

Mark
